where am i?

i’m patrick. deep valley is the place where all my ideas and thoughts settle into form.

i send out a general newsletter, the deep valley digest, on the first of each month. the deep valley digest contains:

• priority tattoo booking info

• new tattoo flash

• a roundup of cool tattoos from the previous month

• illustrations and paintings i’ve recently finished or am currently working on, including process pics and thoughts about the work

• merch / shop updates

• updates on my game, wild chorus, including playtest info

• “patrick recommends” section, where i put you on to the things i’ve been seeing / hearing / smelling / tasting / feeling and more

the digest is the most consistent reason to subscribe, and the best way to keep up with and engage with my work. but in addition to that, i send out newsletters whenever i have something cool to announce that didn’t make it into the digest for whatever reason. i also occasionally send out a deep valley deep dive, which is a longer format writing piece focusing on one topic or idea related to art or life in general.

stay up-to-date

all of the social media apps have become pretty tough to use, both as a creator and as a person who likes looking at things. algorithms will determine what we see, and when we see it, and we don’t have much control over that. i started this newsletter in 2023 to try and put a little bit of control back into our hands. yours and mine.
